Yumi Nu is an LA based Asian-American recording artist and plus size model. Since childhood, Yumi has been inspired by her entertainment driven family, starting singing lessons at age 12 and writing songs by age 15. After a couple years as a pop artist on Dim Mak records, she took a brief hiatus from the music industry to refine her craft. This has led Yumi to enter 2021 with a set of new music and a new creative direction that pulls from Alt-RnB and Indie influences. Her upcoming EP is titled Hajime meaning "Beginning" in Japanese — apt for Yumi's new take on her music and self-expression.
